Providing Opportunities
Gifts to Vista go to work every day to provide opportunities for an active and productive life to each and every student and member that they may not have otherwise. Gifts help to underwrite all programs and services for students and members to find a job, live in their own homes, and socialize with their own circle of friends. Gifts to Vista’s Annual Appeal have helped fund services and equipment big and small.
Due to donor generosity in the Annual Appeal:
- Vista has recently been able to purchase a minibus to provide greater community access to students and members.
- Vista has also been able to provide for extended staff availability in the overnight hours to be on call for all students and members living in the community.
- Vista is upgrading technology training to students and members so they can access the larger world of the internet safely, and effectively. Expanding and improving services like these continue to need financial support.
Long Term Giving
Strong Foundation
Just as a building needs a firm foundation to support its structure, Vista’s foundation is a strong endowment. Gifts to the Vista Endowment Fund, Inc. underwrite Vista’s present strength as well as its future security. The Endowment provides a legacy in perpetuity to benefit current and future students and members. Endowment funds are invested to grow as well as to produce income annually. A portion of this annual income is used to enhance Vista’s excellence, and a portion is reinvested to increase value and future earnings.
Lifetime of Support
People do not outgrow their disabilities, but may outlive their family members who support them. This is a fundamental truth that often worries families and the individual with disabilities. Who will be there when we no longer can? Vista has promised to be there as a life-long partner to help members maintain their highest level of independence and quality of life. Vista has a 20 year tradition of keeping that promise, and will continue to with your support. Gifts to the Endowment Fund are used to ensure that the special qualities that make the Vista experience so successful endure for a lifetime.
