The five towns that comprise Vista’s campus are located in south central Connecticut along the shoreline of Long Island Sound, from Old Saybrook to Guilford on the Route 1 and I-95 corridor. Rich in history and scenic beauty, the area offers modernity and accessibility as well to each student and member living in these towns.
These shoreline communities are safe and offer local resources such as public transportation, shopping, medical services, churches, recreation, cinemas, cultural opportunities and libraries. Vista is located midway between Boston and New York City, and both cities are easily reached by train.
In this scenic New England environment, Vista students and members thrive as they gain the social and vocational skills to live as productive members of the community. Employment opportunities range beyond the shoreline within a 30-mile radius of Westbrook, from New Haven to New London and north to Middletown. More than 140 firms employ Vista students and members.
In an area known for its beaches, historical sites, and tourist attractions, students and members have access through Vista’s recreational and club programs to additional opportunities such as sailing, camping and skiing and to regional theaters, concerts, and sports events.
